Did you know that this week is Teacher Appreciation Week? This is the week that teachers are celebrated all across America. The work of a teacher is exciting and fulfilling, overwhelming and exhausting, while extremely critical to every child’s future. Thank you notes, special cards, and small tokens of appreciation all go a long way. Please take an opportunity to thank your child’s teachers this week.
This Tuesday at 6:15, there will be a Jefferson Community Council meeting. In case you didn’t know, the community council is our parent group. The group was established for parents and teachers to partner together to provide an environment for Jefferson students to excel!
The Scholastic Book Fair will take place this week. This is a great opportunity to instill the importance of literacy in your child by helping them build their library. Please make sure your child has cash or a money order to make purchases as personal checks will not be accepted.
Here is the schedule for the upcoming book fair it will run from May 6-10. This book fair is the buy one get one free one. The fair will be held in Ms. Jackson's room. Friday will be the make-up day and will be open for kindergarten open house.
